Alpine Rose Sprite
materials: watercolour and gouache on paper size: 17 x 27 cm |
These two sprites belong together. I used only 3 colours (light and dark green and magenta), as well as white and sepia for the values and gold for the sparkle.
They were painted exclusively to fit in these frames, which I had found in the garden shed and painted golden). They are some of the few paintings I actually put up on walls and are the product of my very first free time in the new house

Water Lily Sprite
Material: watercolour on paper
Size: 17 x27 cm
The third of my dancing-flower-sprite series.
To me, the water lily was always one of the most mysterious flowers, blooming inmidst of water and being so soft and strong at the same time. The water lily with its unique beauty is the confident and proud eye catcher in every pond.

Poppy Sprite
material: watercolour and white gouache
The second of my dancing-flower-sprite series.
The poppy has a very powerful and outstanding colour, so it is always an eye catcher. The poppy is a symbol for a blissflul summer day without any worries. However, it´s petals are extremely thin and fragile and who ever picked a poppy knows how quickly they will wither.
Thus for me the poppy is a symbol to enjoy the good moments while they last.
