So the theme for today was hidden.

I thought about people hiding their true emotions, while always displaying a neutral or slightly happy face to their environment.

I know, the idea of someone crying for the theme "sad" isn´t very original. But I still liked to do it!

So I gave crosshatching another try and I am quite happy with it. 
While I still havent mastered in portraying realistically, the proportions are off intentionally on this one :-)

I wanted the third one with the prompt "collect" to be a little more deep and also I wanted to give a little variety in technique, as well as in style and theme, so instead of a quill, I used paintbrushes only. 

I thought about how I see more and more people getting lost on the internet. 
We all post pictures, videos, music and artwork and almost anything else that can be uploaded. We hope for Llamas, Likes, Stars, Points, Thumbs, Faves, Watches or whatever the internet has to offer. We hope that as many people as possible will notice our effort, will compliment our results and give us the virtual acknowledgement we all seem to need so badly. 

So this one is to remind us all, that self-esteem mostly comes from oneself. Not the internet. 

So work hard and be proud of what you achieved and whatever you did. 

And if someone else gives you a watch, fave or Llama, put that ON TOP of your own happiness and do a happy-hippo-dance.  

(Yes, I also yearn for virtual confirmation and am ridiculously when people take the time to look at my art)
